KCP&L's Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® (Missouri Customers Only): http://www.kcpl.com/residential/homeperf.html KCP&L is offering a Home Performance with Energy Star rebate of up to $600 for customers who implement at least one energy efficiency improvement that is recommended by a Home Performance certified contractor or consultant. Home Performance with Energy Star, sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Energy Center, offers a comprehensive approach to home improvement, remodeling, and renovation that will make your home more efficient and reduce energy costs, while improving indoor air quality and creating a more comfortable, healthier home. At the same time, you’ll be helping to protect the environment through energy conservation. Home Performance certified contractors can help you cost-effectively improve your home’s energy efficiency. These specially-trained BPI Certified contractors evaluate your home using state-of-the-art equipment and recommend comprehensive improvements that will yield the best results. This program will be administered by the Metropolitan Energy Center. This program will pay a sizable amount toward the testing and certification costs for a new home. Also, a bonus dollar amount will be given to the builder as well.
